RISE is a tabletop roleplaying game with a customizable rule set allowing you to create and play any fantasy character. It is a modular game, where rules may be added or disgarded to create the game you most wish to experience between you and your friends. If you find a novel, movie, or piece of art that moves your imagination, the FACT system can help break that concept down into incremental parts so that it can be incorporated into your fantasy!

FACT is a double acronym that defines the steps in creating a custom character in RISE. On a macro-level, it stands for Focus, Ancestry, Class, and Theme, the board concepts that define your character. It also stands for Features, Acumen, Competency, and Talents, which are the more detailed components that fill out your character, making it as unique as your imagination wishes. FACT is not static. As you play, the FACTs of your character may change or grow leading to novel roleplaying experiences and an unforgettable custom gaming experience.

Yes! It is expected that your campaigns will be filled with personal themes, talents, and other options created by you and your game master. If you really like what you and your group have created, consider submitting it to the Rules Submission page to see whether it can be incorporated into the standard rules of RISE.

First, you will need a copy of the the RISE rulebook, which you can acquire from ourwebsite. You will also need a set of gaming dice. There are a variety of sellers with many options to compliment your asthetic. Having some spare paper and a notebook is great for keeping track of your character. Lastly, you will need your imagination!
